Coach Matthew Simpson Lacrosse Head CoachGenesis is one of the hardest working athletes I've ever been around and have had the privilege to coach. She is a true leader on and off the field. She encourages her teammates whether things are good or bad and they love playing with her.
She is the most coachable athlete I've seen in a long time and she's big on holding herself accountable as well. She looks her coaches in the eye when they are talking to her and she responds with respect, a positive attitude, and hard work.
She is humble in her wins and loves to be coached, taught, and learn from her losses. While being a two-sport standout in softball and lacrosse, she also maintains her academics in the classroom. She is the ultimate student athlete. She will outwork anyone and you can definitely build a team around her. She is a winner. Genesis is a coach's dream!

Coach Blair Hall Pitching / Batting InstructorGenesis is an absolute joy to coach. Not only is she an incredible pitcher and hitter, she is a great student of the game. She loves to learn, asks questions, and is competitive each lesson.
She plays with heart, perseverance, and shows a great love for softball. Genesis is an amazing kid with a bright future ahead of her, on and off of the field.

Coach Jake Bass Dalton Junior High / HCMS Varsity CoachGenesis has been a part of the Dalton Middle Schools softball program, including Hammond Creek Middle School and Dalton Junior High, for the 2024, 2025, and 2026 seasons. During her time with the program, she has been a starter for the varsity team and has demonstrated great leadership and effort in supporting her teammates and being coachable.
She has been dominant as a pitcher, with 60 innings of work and more than 40 strikeouts during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Offensively, her team leans heavily on her ability to hit. In 2024, she collected 13 RBIs and finished the season with a .478 batting average. In 2025, she collected 12 RBIs and finished with a .565 average.
Her hard work continues to pay off, and as we go into the 2026 season, her team will again lean heavily on her experience and leadership to have a successful season.
